Green's Grudge War concludes. This episode of Lefty earned some harsh criticism from the FA, and a lot of media coverage. There was yet another Action Sports Scoreboard. |
| | | Dredger
Dredger and Breed are in Sao Salvador to retrieve some documents detailing guerilla activities in the area. As Dredger walks into a bar, he is attacked by two Australians, and a brief fight follows. Breed is unable to assist, but soon realises that the men are former mercenary comrades of Dredger. Their conversation reveals that the two men, Cooney and Sapp, are in possession of the documents the D.I.6. men require, and have been offered £20,000 to deliver them to Cuba. Four days later, the rivals meet in the mountains when Dredger ambushes Cooney and Sapp's rendezvous with the Cubans. After a harsh confrontation Dredger walks away with a wounded Breed and the documents. Back in London, the agents wait outside their HQ. Cooney and Sapp arrive, and Dredger hands the documents back to them. He explains to Breed that he wanted to see the papers in the right hands, but if his friends can make £20,000 out of the government for delivering them, he's happy to help. | | Green's Grudge War
Green and Bold get caught up in a daylight raid that has gone badly wrong. Trying to salvage the situation, they attack a machine gun nest that is pinning down their Canadian allies, who have arrived late. Green feels that the Germans will save him the effort of killing Bold himself. As they storm the guns, Green fires wildly, nearly hitting Bold. Bold orders Green to cover him as he heads back to help the others, but Green grabs a German gun and shoots Bold in the head. Luckily for Bold, he is only grazed by the shot. The unit is pulling out, but Bold pleads that Green must be saved. Meanwhile, Green is shooting up the enemy in a spectacular last stand. Running low on ammo, he heads back to the beach, and a boat home. As he reaches the water, he is out of bullets and makes a final dash for safety. The shock of seeing Bold alive on the boat causes Green to freeze, and he is gunned down. Bold, none the wiser to Green's acts of treachery, recommends him for the medal he always craved, but as Green's corpse drifts on the tide, it is too late for him to appreciate it. | | Hellman on the Russian Front
Hellman meets his new troops, a gang of convicts. They riot immediately, but Hellman uses his guile, and a King Tiger, to overcome them. Big Max, Dekker, Brenner and Schwartz all attempt to kill Hellman. He defeats each of them in turn before nominating them to crew his tank. He explains to the convicts that they are all dead men. Both sides want them killed. Their only hope of staying alive is to hold the town against the advancing Russians. Hellman decides to lure the Russians in, pretending that the town is deserted. Schwarz tries to countermand Hellman, but is dealt with swiftly. The Red Army approaches, and Hellman has enemies on both sides. | | Kids Rule O.K.
Roker has acquired some shotguns. Ray's gang arrive to the receiving end of both barrels. They regroup and create a diversion, using Lou and some mopeds to distract Roker away from the house, they attack Roker's hideout with petrol bombs. Many of Roker's crew lie dead and Ray now has the guns, but the conflict has been heard by the West End bikers, who want the guns for themselves. | | Hook Jaw
Sharkie confronts Gelder about Mason's death, but no-one is listening. The remaining tourists grab a small hovercraft and try to escape once again. The vibrations keep the sharks at bay, but the dangerously overloaded craft capsizes and those aboard are soon shark food. Gelder and his cohorts head for the native village, and steal all the fishing boats, shooting some natives, and leaving the rest to die. A freighter is passing near the shore, drawn there by the plumes of smoke coming from the island. In a clamour to get on board, the tourists capsize the fishing boats, attracting Hook Jaw. Only Gelder remains, and as he levels a gun at the shark, Hook Jaw turns to strike. | | Look Out For Lefty!
Lefty is made to look a fool by Terry Jarvis throughout the first half. Meanwhile Jarvis is impressing the bosses. At half time Lefty confronts Jarvis, but Mike Roberts bawls him out, not only for playing badly, but for trying to blame others for his mistakes. As the match resumes, Angie spots the source of Lefty's problem, and takes Jarvis out with a well aimed Coke bottle. She shifts the blame on to the opposition fans, who are removed by the police. With Jarvis out for the count and out of the match, Lefty opens his own account, but is it too late? | | Death Game 1999
Taggart takes on the Executioners in a Death Run. The defenders cannot touch him until he moves for the ball. Amazingly, Joe heads for it straight out of the cannon, in a 'suicide scoop'. He controls the ball, and somehow keeps the Executioners at bay long enough to fire it straight into the black pin, winning the Death Run and the match. The crowd go wild in appreciation, but behind the scenes, a government agent called Schroeder is less than pleased. Spinball needs to keep the masses happy, not the convicts, and there is no room for heroes. He orders Smailes to have Taggart killed before he becomes too popular. | | Hell's Highway
In 1975, one of Hartwell's trucks, carrying a load of chemical waste, went missing. Unknown to the agency, it exploded, having slipped into a reservoir in the Ozarks. Believing the truck and contents have been hijacked, Hartwell sends Steve and Danny as bait. A rumour has been spread around the area about a truck containing $100,000 to lure the hijackers out. In the back of the truck are a group of armed agents ready for trouble. The truckers arrive at a town near where the other truck disappeared, but are attacked by some frenzied locals. They escape, but as Steve goes to check on the agents in the trailer, he realises that they have been overcome by the maniacs, and is soon in danger himself. |
