The story details are gathered from various sources, both published and available on the internet. I have no reference for any features or editorial content. Some strips re-appeared in a sanitised form in the December 4th issue, some did not appear at all. A Polish agent named Jozwiak escapes from the East, across the border into West Germany. Dredger and Breed are sent to rendezvous with him in Amsterdam, while he is en route to a hideaway in South America. Jozwiak has documents of value to D.I.6., and Breed is carrying the only currency he will accept, £30,000 in diamonds. Breed is expecting an easy ride, but Dredger is more alert. As Breed heads off to the meeting alone, he thinks that Dredger is sulking. Moments later he is coshed unconscious and the diamonds are stolen. Jozwiak is working a double cross on the British and the Americans, having taken diamonds from both sides. He leaves in a speedboat, but moments later Dredger, cursing Breed's ineptitude, is in pursuit. They have a high speed chase towards the North Sea. If Jozwiak reaches open water he will be gone, so Dredger launches his own boat off the hull of a sunken barge. He crashes down on Jozwiak, killing him instantly. Dredger recovers the diamonds and the documents, and heads back to Breed. Dredger informs his partner that he has recovered the documents, but not all the diamonds are accounted for. Correctly, Breed doesn't believe that they simply sank into the canal. | | Probationer
Attempting something of a normal life, Dave attends a local church youth club. Elsewhere Slater, still trying to dig himself out of the hole caused by the van load of prison suits, sets Dave up for a fall with the Marconi brothers, who want their money back... | | Hellman on the Russian Front
Hellman is hunted by the NKVD as Max, Dekker and Brenner face execution in the town square. The Major has disguised himself amongst a line of snowmen and is planning his next moves carefully. Suddenly his own King Tiger rolls into view, a prize of the Russian Army. The troops onboard begin to demolish the snowmen, forcing Hellman to reveal himself. He shoots the troops onboard the tank and takes control, heading for the square. The NKVD Commissar sees the Tiger arrive, and tells Hellman's crew to take one last look before they die. The Tiger suddenly veers right, heading up the steps to the execution block. As the Russians back away, the hatch opens and Hellman frees his men. The executioner throws his axe at Hellman, but the Major deflects it back using panzer steel, killing its owner. They grab the Commissar and prepare to escape. The Russians will not fire on their commander, but Schwarz grabs a landmine and prepares to throw in at the retreating tank. Max throws the Commissar at Schwarz, detonating the mine and killing both men. As the Tiger disappears into the snowbound wilderness in search of the German Army, the crew wish they could see the faces in the Kremlin. As if in answer, Stalin is preparing to make an example of Hellman for this humiliating defeat. He offers a bounty of one million Roubles to the man who brings him Hellman, dead or alive... | | Kids Rule O.K.

He and the gang overpower the troops and steal their guns and uniforms. A naval vessel arrives at the scene, looking for the chopper and its crew. Gunn and his gang explain to the Captain about Hook Jaw, then come aboard the ship and are taken to the sonal (sic) room. The Captain orders the area to be depth charged. The Great White is seen fleeing from the scene. The Rotherfield match continues, with Lefty taking grief from the opposing team, but able to dish it out in return. A shot at goal strikes a Rotherfield player hard in the head. Lefty soon receives a ball in the stomach from their Right Back. The action gets harder as Mike and Jim look on, but Lefty gets the measure of Rotherfield. As he approaches the player responsible for the ball in the guts, Lefty lines up a hard left footer. The Rotherfield player is quaking, but the ball that Lefty delivers is a soft touch. The Right Back raises his hands to defend himself, handling the ball and gifting Wigford a penalty. Lefty steps up to the spot as his team-mates are too busy laughing. The ball is struck so hard it rips the back of the net, securing Lefty's hatrick. The post match celebrations are interrupted by a young fan called Greavesey, who tells Lefty about Nick and Spicer heading for the junk shop. Lefty dashes for home, and arrives to see the two Rippers riding into the distance. The shop has been turned over, and Gramps has been tarred and feathered... | | Death Game 1999
Karson City line up for the start of the game. The commentator points out that their recent form should see them all freed at the end of the match, but Assassins captain Abe Creel has other plans. The ball is fired into play and the first Alcatraz bodies start to fall. In the confusion Joe scoops up the ball and prepares to strike. Kruger is anticipating a big bang, but Joe activates the firing piston without a problem, opening the score. Alcatraz try to intercept the rebound, but Kruger enthusiastically blocks them, returning the ball to Taggart. Smailes sits in the crowd sweating, praying for the bomb to go off, but once again there is no explosion. The ball hits a deflector and reaches maximum velocity, racking up the points before burying itself in a defender. Joe compliments Kruger for helping them out, but the guard has realised that the bomb is defective. He decides to take matters into his own hands. As a new ball is fired into play, Kruger pulls off a Suicide Scoop, then flattens two more defenders. He lines Taggart up in his sights, intent on taking Joe's head off with the ball, but as he stamps on the firing piston, his bike explodes. Pieces of Kruger are sprayed across the arena. Yo-Yo asks Joe what just happened. Taggart says he will explain later, if they survive. Karson City are down to six men and the Assassins will stop at nothing to save themselves from the chair... | | Hell's Highway
