This letter is reproduced from the final pre-ban issue, dated 16th October 1976. The validity of this letter is somewhat questionable, especially considering the more adult approach to other letters, the inaccuracy regarding the comic's contents and also the fact that, to my knowledge, no-one was ever forced to read Action on a weekly basis. However, there's no denying the prophetic nature of its content, nor the eerie timing of its appearance.

Full marks to the editorial team for publishing it, and for adding such a pithy retort. This was probably the last time we were able to witness the irreverence and anti-authoritarian attitudes that made Action so popular. I imagine that the subdued, post-ban editorial line would probably have issued some sort of apology.
